UPDATE: This track has been removed from SoundCloud - you can still get it from http://music.imphenzia.com.
Welcome to my complete 1 track per day #Imphenzia release marathon. Every day until I run out of tracks I will release one of my tracks as a free download and write some history behind it.
If you like my music, if you want to support it, and if you don’t want to wait for the entire marathon to finish – you can download all my music as MP3 and FLAC files from http://music.imphenzia.com for what you think it is worth ($2 – $50) – there are 109 tracks to grab =)
I didn't get swamped in e-mails and sly comments as I missed to release a track yesterday. Phew. I was working away on the firework sound effects I collected during new years eve for my www.universalsoundfx.com - 247 sounds at 192 kHz and over 4 GB was the result. I sat up until 4:30 AM and realized it was my turn to get up with the kids in the morning so I decided to go to bed instead. Finally.
Himalaya [Chill Out Remix], released 1 January 2002, was the first ever slow edit of a trance track I released. I had made some calm tracks previously, like Departure and Shadow Keeper, but not an alternative version of a fast paced track. This was the start of something new and it finally resulted in the release of a full album of edits called Chillout released in 2011:
I personally enjoy this chillout edit and even though it was my first it's one of my favorites. It has a really calm relaxing beat and I was using some new DSP synths on my Creamware Pulsar 2 sound card that I had purchased for I think about £2500 back in 2001. Crazy. I still have that sound card and it's collecting dust in my drawer because I don't have any external gear now and the DSP synths are a outdated compared to the powerful VST instruments I now use. The soft pads came from my Yamaha CS6R rack module.
This track was also featured in my game Beat Ball and following the release of Beat Ball in a German gaming magazine the game, this track, and other tracks included in the game received great feedback.
