Track Description

This is a free piano only version of Duplicate My Soul. The track was recorded using the East West Quantum Leap Steinway D Gold Piano with lid set fully open and Piano Hall 1 ambience. Master keyboard used to record the piano version was a Roland FP-7.

Details

The piano version of "Duplicate My Soul" is the fourth version to be released. This is the very first release by Imphenzia that only features the piano and no other instruments. I experimented with adding strings and pads but in the end I decided that it sounded best this way. Recording this piece was done using Steinberg Cubase 5 and a Roland FP7 stagepiano. I use the stagepiano as my master keyboard and it has 88 hammer weighted keys that feel absolutely beautiful to play. Once the midi sequence was recorded in into Cubase I used the East West Quantum Leap Steinway D Gold Piano VST instrument with Lid set to fully open and with Piano Hall 1 ambience.

I've recorded some other, still unreleased, piano tracks mainly because it isn't really the focus of Imphenzia. Some of the tracks have been released through Imphenzia Soundtrack available for licensing, e.g. Story of Neglect (listen to a low quality mp3 of Story of Neglect here). I may consider releasing more piano tracks through Imphenzia if there is interest or maybe I'll launch a side project instead - time will tell.

The melody of Duplicate My Soul piano differs from the trance version quite a bit but some key notes are there. As with the original it is inspired by and named after my soon to be born first child due in March of 2010. I've also been asked if I can release the sheet music for this track and I aim to do so but I don't read music myself and I'm currently having some problems with exporting it properly from Cubase but I hope to fix that.
